"FULL MOON DESPACHO"

We will be celebrating the Full moon this month with a Despacho & Fire Ceremony at the center.

For those of you who are not familiar with Despacho’s, they are an offering, sometimes referred to as a "prayer bundle".

There are hundreds of different types of Despacho’s that the Q’ero shamans perform depending on the current need.

Most events from birth to death, from initiation rites, first planting of the season, harvesting, weddings, ground breaking

for a new home, etc…have Despacho’s attached to them. Additionally, a Despacho is created when someone is sick to help

restore one's ayni/balance with the universe so that they will become well. The Q’ero believe that illness is a

corresponding result of no longer being in ayni with the universe.

It is our intent, with this Despacho, to give our gratitude to the Earth & Spirit, honor the seasons, cut away energies that

no longer serve us and weave prayers in from our heart.

If you would like to participate in the building of the despacho we would love for you to be included.

(We will be at the center by 5:30, please come early as we will start building the dispacho at 6:30.)

There is no charge for this ceremony. All donations are
gratefully accepted.

“Releasing Ceremony”

Beginning in August and for the remainder of this year, on the 1^st Friday of each month, at 6:30 p.m. we are committed to hosting a “Releasing Ceremony”.

Write down anything you wish to release, all month long on slips of paper or whatever you choose (make sure it will burn) place them into an envelope, small box or whatever feels right to you and bring them to the center on that night. (if you cannot attend personally call for other accommodations for your release requests).

Stephen will be building a despacho for the release of these items as well as others and then a fire ceremony will complete the night.

If you would like to participate in the building of the despacho we would love for you to be included. Release requests will be placed directly into the fire during ceremony.

All donations are gratefully accepted, if you want to donate but not in cash call to see what is needed for the despacho ingredients, the center, or other people in our circle.
